Impact of an online module to educate oral healthcare providers on caring for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
Description
This study enrolls dental professionals. The purpose of this study is to see how effective an online module that for dental professionals will be. The online training was created to help dental professionals make the dental office visit more comfortable for patients with intellectual & developmental disabilities (IDD).

We expect that you will be in this research study for a total of 2.5 hours over two months. The online module will include 10 videos ranging from 5-10 minutes each. The research will consist of a 10-minute pretest, posttest, and two-month follow up to get your feedback about the strengths and limitations of the module. Study is done online.

Technical Description

The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of an online module to educate dental practitioners about sensory and motor strategies to improve the dental exam experience for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). The aim will be to improve attitudes, knowledge, and confidence in dental practitioners when treating individuals with IDD after completion of the seminar and also to ascertain strengths and limitations of the module for quality improvement.

Eligibility
Adults ages 18+.
Must be a licensed dental health professional.
Must be currently practicing in the United States.
Must have computer access.
