Remote Cough Monitoring Study
Protocol: STUDY00009796
Full Title
Development and Validation of a Smartphone AI System for Continuous Remote Cough Symptom Monitoring
Description
Coughing is a common symptom of many conditions. However, for people living with chronic respiratory diseases (or those that can worsen lung function over time), coughs can tell a doctor how a patient is doing or if their condition is getting worse.

A research team from the University at Buffalo is trying to learn more about how smartphones may be used to detect cough symptoms. They are looking for both healthy adults and those living with chronic respiratory diseases for a remote study.

The study will last for 5 days. Participants will meet with the research team twice (on Zoom or in-person). They will make audio recordings for at least 12 hours (including overnight) for at least 3 days. They will also complete a few surveys.

Participants can earn up to $50 for completing all parts of the study.
