Understanding Moral Distress in Child Neurology Residents
Protocol: STUDY00010077
Full Title
Moral Distress in Child Neurology and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Trainees
Description
we are doing an anonymous survey about moral distress and resilience among child neurology and neurodevelopmental disabilities residents.
Moral distress occurs when clinicians believe they know the ethically appropriate action but feel unable to take it because of internal or external constraints (for example, continuing a treatment they consider futile due to pressure from the team or family). This study aims to better understand how often moral distress occurs in training, how it varies by training level and setting, and how it relates to burnout and intentions to leave clinical practice.
