Assessment of adrenal function after ACTH treatement in chidlren with infantile spasms
We are looking for babies with infantile spasms for a research study. Infantile spasms is a rare form of seizure disorder that presents within the first year of life. The purpose of this study is to find out more about the recovery of adrenal function after ACTH treatment for infantile spasms.
Your child will participate in this study for up to 6 months. Please contact us for more information about what is involved in this study. Study visits take place at Oishei Children’s Hospital.

This study will systematically assess the timeline of recovery of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis in children treated with adrenocorticotropin hormone (ACTH) for infantile spasms
Compensation may include cash, checks, gift cards, debit cards, or incentives like gift baskets, technology items, or merchandise.
Children with a diagnosis of infantile spasms.
Planned to receive treatment Acthar® (ACTH).
