LIVING DONATION AND KIDNEY TRANSPLANTATION INFORMATION MADE EASY (KIDNEYTIME) WITH ANIMATED VIDEO EDUCATION
Description
We are seeking potential and past kidney donors and recipients for a research study.  The purpose of the study is to make educational videos to help patients understand living kidney donation and transplantation.

You can be involved in one or both parts of this study:
 
(1) Focus group (90 minutes, in-person): You will read or watch educational materials and participate in a group conversation.

(2) One-on-one interviews (multiple 30-45 minute visits, in person or by phone): You will read or watch educational materials and give feedback about them.

Study visits take place at the ECMC (Erie County Medical Center, 462 Grider Street, Buffalo, NY 14215)

Participants will be compensated.

Technical Description

The purpose of this study is to increase awareness and knowledge regarding the risks and benefits of kidney transplantation and living donation amongst patients seeking kidney transplantation and their family and friends in Buffalo, New York.

Eligibility
Age 18+, living kidney donor, potential living donor, kidney transplant recipient, caregivers, people waiting for kidney transplants, or people or being evaluated to get a kidney transplant.
