Gastric Bypass, Brain Activity amp; Reward: Investigating via EEG
We are looking for adults ages 20-70 who have had gastric bypass surgery for a study. The purpose of the study is to better understand weight loss and regain after gastric bypass surgery.
You will complete one visit which takes about 3 hours. During the visit you will complete questionnaires, do painless brain signaling testing, and give a saliva sample. Visit takes place at UB’s Downtown Campus: 1021 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14203.
This is a clinical study that will examine post-operative bariatric patient reward signaling in the brain along with multiple self-report measures, genetic testing, and anthropomorphic measurement. We aim to better understand and ultimately treat patients who experience weight regain and/or addiction difficulties after gastric bypass surgery.
