Diet and Relapses
Protocol: STUDY00002432
Full Title
Diet and Relapses in Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis
Description
We are looking for children and young adults with Multiple Sclerosis to participate in a research study. The purpose of this study is to better understand MS in children and adolescents. We want to find out if what people eat is associated with how MS affects children.

Your child will be asked to be in the study for 3 years. The study will involve an interview about medical history (10-15 minutes), completing a questionnaire about food and physical activity 3 times (10-15 minutes each time), and one blood draw (about 15 minutes). Depending on your child's age, you may help them answer the questionnaires and you can be present during your child's blood draw. Study visits will happen at the Adult & Pediatric MS Clinic at Conventus (1001 Main St. 4th Floor Buffalo, NY 14203).

Participants will be compensated.

Technical Description

In this study, we will determine if pediatric-onset MS participants have a longitudinal association between various nutrients and risk of MS progression and will investigate biological pathways relevant to this association.
