Understanding Bicyclist Behavior and Perception of B2X Advanced Warning Messages
Description
The University at Buffalo (UB) Transportation Research and Visualization Lab is recruiting healthy adults for new study that has two phases. The goal of this study is to learn more about how warning messages from autonomous vehicles may help to keep bike riders safe.

Phase 1 will involve the completion of a 15-minute online survey on bike safety and the use of technology in cars. The research team will randomly select and award 20 participants who complete the online survey with a $20 gift card.

Participants who are interested and eligible will be invited to participate in Phase 2. They will attend an in-person visit on the UB North Campus (in Amherst) and will ride a stationary bike through different virtual reality (VR) situations.

Eligibility
For Phase 1 - online survey:
-Adults 18 years or older
For Phase 2 - in-person study:
-Adults 18 years or older
-Able to ride a bike
-Not currently pregnant
-Not colorblind
-If you wear contact lenses, you must agree to wear them during the study
