Photoacoustic imaging of human foot
Description
We are looking for people who have had a foot wound related to vascular disease AND healthy volunteers for this study. This study is being conducted to see how well a non-invasive imaging technique allows researchers to see blood inside the human body. The technique combines light and sound to create an image. We would like to see how well this imaging technique can show the veins in the foot in 3D.

You will be asked to be in the study for up to ten visits lasting about 30 minutes each (each in a separate day). You will have a painless picture of their foot taken by an ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging machine. Study visits take place at UB's North Campus.

Technical Description

This is an imaging system developmental study that will examine whether the photoacoustic technique can be used to imaging the vascular structure of human foot.
