A prospective, open-label exploratory study to characterize cranial circulation acoustic waves recorded in subjects with suspected and/or confirmed acute large vessel occlusion (LVO) ischemic stroke
Description
This study enrolls people who have a blockage of one of the large blood vessels in the brain. The purpose of this study is to learn if headphones can detect this
blockage.

You will be in this study for about 10 minutes. You will use a pair of headphones for two minutes while you lie still. This study will take place while you are being treated for your stroke. The headphones are the same as headphones you wear to listen to music. This study takes place at Kaleida Health facilities, Gates Vascular Institute and Buffalo General Medical Center in Buffalo, NY.

Technical Description

To collect cranial circulation acoustic data in subjects with a presumptive diagnosis of stroke with and without LVO.
Compensation: No
Eligibility
Adults ages 18+
Patients with signs and symptoms of cerebral ischemic stroke.
Age Group: Adults
