Critical Coronavirus and Kids Epidemiologic Study
Description
This study enrolls children less than 19 years old who are admitted to the Pediatric ICU and have tested positive for SARS-CoV2. The purpose of this study is to better understand the number of children who are in severe/critical care units due to COVID-19, risk factors, and factors that are associated with improved or worsening outcomes.

This study will last the entire duration of your child’s hospitalization. Data will be collected daily from hospital medical record review and then looked at to try to gain more knowledge about how this virus effects children. This study takes place at Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo NY.

Technical Description

COVID-19 STUDY - Define the epidemiology of severe/critical COVID-19 in the pediatric intensive care unit (and high-acuity units where PICU not available).
