Characterization of Gut, Urine and Salivary Microbiota in Kidney Transplant Recipients: The Search For A Cause And Effect
This study enrolls people who are scheduled to have a kidney transplant. The purpose of this study is to learn more about the association between bacteria in a person's body and how well a transplant recipient does after their transplant.
You will be in this study for up to 10 years. We will collect dietary information as well as stool, salivary and urine samples. We will collect extra blood samples at times when you would have blood tests for your normal care. Study takes place at ECMC (Erie County Medical Center, 462 Grider Street, Buffalo, NY 14215).
Compensation is not available for this study.
Adults ages 18+
Kidney transplant recipient
No previous transplant
No history of GI malignancy
No previous immunosuppression
