This study enrolls high school students and teachers. The purpose of the study is to help students learn how to culture microbial organisms found in water samples from streams, rivers or lakes, and to teach about genome annotation, DNA sequencing and genomic DNA isolation. -High School Biology (grades 9-12) teachers from Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Ontario, Orleans, Steuben, Wayne, Wyoming and Yates counties/schools. -Teachers must recruit their students; students cannot enroll in the study on their own.

This study enrolls healthy, physically-active adults. The purpose of this study is to learn if exercising in a hot environment can better help the body adjust to higher altitudes where the air is thinner. Travel to higher altitudes takes weeks for the body to adjust, however, military personnel may not have enough time to adjust. This study may lead to valuable information that can benefit our troops.
