Memory and Reinforcing Value
This study enrolls healthy adults. The purpose of this study is to learn how people use memories and make decisions about their behavior.

This study will be one session of about 45-60 minutes and involves brief questionnaires and completing decision-making tasks online. This study will take place online and will be available to participants in mTurk.

Technical Description

The purposes of this research are to assess the effect of vivid Episodic Autobiographical Memory (AM) recall on the Reinforcing Value (RV) of activities related to memory content. Specifically, we will examine the effect of recalling a past positive experience related to physical activity or to a cognitively enriching sedentary activity (such as reading) on the relative reinforcing value (RRV) of physical activity and cognitively enriching sedentary activity (CESA).

Healthy adults ages 18-64.
English spoken as first language.
USA residents.
Cannot be pregnant.
