Since COVID, student mental health has become a prominent issue. The cafeteria is a key part of the school environment, but there aren’t many tools that see how it affects student well-being. This study is testing two new tools to see if they are useful and accurate. This research will help improve how schools assess and support student well-being in cafeteria settings. Read More

Description:
This study will examine how children's eating habits, physical activity, and decision making change as they grow older. This will be done through 12 laboratory sessions over 3 years where parents will fill out questionnaires and have their height and weight taken. Children will also have their height and weight taken. After this, children will be asked to make choices about hypothetical money, and play a computer game to earn points to eat food and play with an activity. Description:
Are you between the ages of 35 to 55 years old? Do you live in the Buffalo area? If so, you might be eligible to participate in a University at Buffalo (UB) study focused on learning more about outdoor exercise and air pollution! Participants will be enrolled in the study for about 3 months. They will be given an Apple watch to wear throughout the study that they can keep. All participants will complete 12 weeks of exercise with a trained health coach in Delaware Park. At the beginning of the study, they will be randomly assigned (which happens by chance, like flipping a coin) to one of two groups: (1) Group 1 will exercise in an area close to the road in the park and (2) Group 2 will exercise in an area slightly far from the road. Weekly exercise sessions will last 45 – 60 minutes and will involve either jogging or running depending on fitness level. Your blood pressure will be measured throughout the study, and you will provide a blood and urine sample at the beginning and end of the study. Read More
