We are looking for children with common infections for a study. The purpose of the study is to compare the cells of children with common infections like the flu to to those with a febrile disorder called Kawasaki disease. Children must be in the Emergency Department or inpatient ward of John R. Oishei Children's Hospital with a positive screen for influenza or adenovirus

This study enrolls patients in the Emergency Department having an IV placed in a large vein in their neck. The purpose of this research is to find out how accurate ultrasound verification of the IV placement will be. Read More

Will be having an IV placed in a large vein in their neck.
This study enrolls people who are in the Emergency Department. The purpose of this study is to test a device (made by the study sponsor, Forest Devices) that may be able to tell if someone is having a stroke. This device is portable, so it might someday be used on an ambulance to give caregivers early information on whether a patient who seems to be having a stroke is actually having a stroke or not. The device is painless and uses electrodes to gather information about brain activity. Read More
