This study enrolls pregnant women taking methadone or buprenorphine for opioid use disorder. The purpose of this study is to learn about the factors that can promote or prevent successful breastfeeding in these women from the perspective of the woman. We are looking for women ages 30-75 who have newly diagnosed breast cancer (and are undergoing surgery) for a research study. The purpose of this study is to learn more about why women develop breast cancer. We are studying the microbiome- the bacteria and other single cell organisms that are found normally in every part of the body.
