Blood Draw Study for Healthy Adults and People Living with Long COVID/COPD
Protocol: STUDY00009234
Full Title
Extracellular Vesicle Biorepository for Biomarker Discovery
Description
Are you living with long COVID or COPD? Or are you a healthy adult not diagnosed with either condition? If so, you might be eligible for a study from the University at Buffalo (UB)!

Researchers are hoping to better understand lung conditions such as long COVID and COPD. This study will collect blood samples to build a biorepository (or the collection and storage of material for lab research).

The blood collected will be used to study extracellular vesicles (EVs). EVs are small particles released by cells into the bloodstream. They may carry information about diseases. The research team wants to find out if EVs in blood can help improve our understanding of long COVID and COPD.

This study will involve a 60-to-90-minute study visit to the UB Clinical and Translational Research Center (875 Ellicott Street in Buffalo). Participants will provide a blood sample, complete surveys about their health, and complete a lung function test. They will be paid $50.
