Conservative care or Surgery for Meniscal tear after Ineffective physical therapy: Patient preferences
Description
The University at Buffalo (UB) Department of Orthopaedics is conducting a study for patients of UBMD Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine who have suspected meniscal tears of the knee. The goal of this study is to see if patients who do not get better from initial physical therapy (PT) might be interested in participating in future clinical trials to improve their knee pain.

Patients from UBMD Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine will be invited to enroll in the study. They will complete up to two short surveys on their health, knee pain/function, and their level of interest in participating in a hypothetical clinical trial. They will receive $20 Amazon gift cards for completing each survey and a $30 check if they participate in an optional interview.

Eligibility
Adults aged 45 to 85 years old who are patients of UBMD Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Have a suspected meniscal tear of the knee Have access to email to receive the online survey link Fluent in English
