Impact of Racially Motivated Violence on Healthcare Disparities and Smoking Habits in Buffalo, New York
Description
The University at Buffalo (UB) is looking for people who currently smoke to participate in an online study. The goal of this study is to learn more about smoking habits of Western New York community members.

The study will involve an online 27-question survey. The survey can be completed from any smart device (for example, smartphone, tablet, computer) or the research team can provide a hard copy for completion by pen and paper. The survey will take 15 minutes or less to complete. A variety of questions will be asked, including demographic questions (such as on gender, age, race, education level), questions related to smoking habits, and questions on how the May 14, 2022 Buffalo, NY shooting impacted health and medical care. At the end of the survey, participants will be linked to resources to help quit smoking.

Eligibility
Adults 18 years and older Currently smoking cigarettes Fluent in either English or Spanish
