This study enrolls children with diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) who will be admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) for treatment. The purpose of this study is to compare the length of time patients have high acid in their blood and how long they have to stay in the hospital with DKA when they are treated with different types of IV fluids in the PICU.
