UB Research helps companies win $3.9 Million in SBIR funds

Start-ups are key to growth but need funding, study says
A recent study found that universities in New York State received an impressive $4.5 billion in research funding in 2006, second only to California. However, New York State start-up companies, many based on this research activity, drew just 4 percent of the nation’s venture capital.
