Most proposals are submitted through the SPS office because institutional approval is usually required. Depending upon the sponsor?s requirements, a proposal is either submitted to the sponsor as a hard copy ?paper? package or sent as an electronic file. The following sections provide information about various submission options, and instructions to help you check the status of a proposal submitted to NSF or NIH.
General RequirementsAfter a proposal is submitted to NIH, it will be reviewed and assigned a score. If it meets a certain cutoff score, NIH will request additional ?JIT? information, which will be needed in the event an award is made. This information will need to be submitted to NIH by your Sponsored Projects Services office.
