STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES


  1. Using control box on wall to the right of the autoclave, rotate dial to "on" position. Allow 15 minute warm up.
  2. Open autoclave door by rotating wheel to the left.
  3. Load autoclave.
  4. Close door and lock into place by rotating wheel to the right.
  5. Using the numbers on the keypad on the control box to the right of the autoclave, choose the appropriate cycle:

    1. Cycle #1 - Wrapped pack (30 min. sterilize/30 min. dry)
    2. Cycle #2 - Wrapped pack (30 min. sterilize/20 min. dry)
    3. Cycle #3 - Flash/unwrapped cycle (3 min sterilize/0 min. dry)
    4. Cycle #4 - Liquids (30 min. sterilize/0 min. dry)

    Press appropriate cycle number then "enter". If you push the wrong cycle number for the desired cycle, do not press "enter"; press "clear". To abort cycle, press the "clear" key at any point in the cycle.

  6. A special cycle may be run by pressing "load" and setting the parameters desired. Once the cycle is completed, it will not be stored in memory.
  7. At end of day, turn autoclave knob on key box to "off".
