Card Access

The animal care units at the Biomedical Education Building and Biomedical Research Building at the South Campus as well as Hochstetter Hall and Park Hall at the North Campus are equipped with card reader security systems. At the Research Institute on Addictions, all visitors must request a code # to access the animal facilities and sign in at the front security desk.

In order to gain access to these units, you must be listed on an approved protocol, have fulfilled the IACUC training requirements, enrolled in the Occupational Health Monitoring Program , and attend an Orientation tour at the CM-LAF.

To request access to the units at the South and North Campus, complete the Access Request Form, attach a photocopy of your UB card and mail to CM-LAF at 116 Biomedical Education Building, South Campus. Requests can be faxed to 829-3249 or e-mailed to cm-laf@research.buffalo.edu.

To request access to the Research Institute on Addiction, the Access Request Form should be sent to RIA 1021 Main Street, Buffalo NY 14203 Attn. Mr. James Krygier or e-mailed to krygier@ria.buffalo.edu. Once the request is approved, a code # will be issued.
