Drive this way.
If a bridge collapses on a busy interstate highway, traffic backs up catastrophically. If you’re moving nuclear waste, you don’t want it in a traffic jam. UB’s Center for Excellence in Global Enterprise Management (GEM) has developed dynamic models for traffic flow and hazardous material transportation. These can provide emergency decision support for routing traffic under crisis situations, such as in an attack, a natural disaster, or other route interruptions.
