Cyber security is now a heightened national concern. It has been an established area of research for University at Buffalo computer engineers for many years. In 2002, the National Security Agency designated the university a Center of Excellence in Information Systems Assurance Research and Education. Researchers in the center have recently developed new use monitoring software that may offer additional protection to military government, and commercial networks. They are also working on security in mobile communications environments.
These are just some of the many ways the University at Buffalo is doing its part to take the nation’s homeland security to new levels. To learn more about this research, visit www.cse.buffalo.edu/caeiae.
