Inspect the unexpected
Millions of travelers flood our nation’s airports on a daily basis. Whether it’s domestic or international travel, everyone wants to arrive safely and on time. That’s why the University at Buffalo is working with the Federal Aviation Administration to study the human factors involved in airport baggage screening. The project is designed to determine the best combination of personnel training and automation to optimally reduce the number of baggage screening errors.
These are just some of the many ways the University at Buffalo is doing its part to take the nation’s homeland security to new levels. To learn more about this research, visit www.ie.buffalo.edu/research-centers.
