Adding more structure to our lives is something the university at buffalo knows all about. currently, structural engineers from our multidisciplinary center for earthquake engineering research are actively studying how earthquake engineering practices and blast-resistant designs can be used tocreate terror-resistant buildings. ub physicists are also involved in creating an innovative shock-absorption system that utilizes cone-shaped spheres designed to make blast-proof structures a reality in the near future.
